How I Time-Travelled in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (I Think!) and Caught a Star Fragment Mid-Air After Diving From a Tower #TOTK

So, the other day I was exploring in Tears of the Kingdom in the Akkala Highlands, and to the west I saw the trail in the sky of a falling star fragment.

I watched to see where it landed, from what I could tell anyway, and immediately teleported to the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower.

I did the examine the tower thing, flew up in the air pointing north, and was disappointed to see no indication of where the star fragment was.

I thought it might be a glitch — maybe teleporting made the record of the star fragment go away, or maybe I teleported too early and it actually landed in some water — when, lo and behold, it fell through the air right beside me!

So, I dove down and actually caught the star fragment mid-air, which was pretty exciting!

I didn’t have the wherewithal to record it or anything, but it does appear that I travelled back in time in the game a few seconds, relative to the star fragment, by teleporting to the tower after I saw the star fragment fall.

I’ll see if I can recreate the experience next time I see a star fragment falling. This would be a pretty cool hack for getting star fragments in #TOTK if it’s real.
